Information brought to you by Outdoor Garden Hammocks

Before you can use your hammock chair you will need to hang it securely from a supporting object. It is extremely important to make sure that the support you hang it from is reliable and secure. You don’t want your hammock chair to fall down the first time (or even the hundredth time) you use it! Indoors it is best to hang it from a solid ceiling or beam, outdoors choose a solid tree branch or a metal swing or buy a hammock chair with it’s own metal stand. You can buy hammock kits for hanging both regular and chair hammocks.
The height needed should be between 200 and 250cm but varies with the make of the chair so consult

the manufacturers instructions. A spring in the suspension makes the hammock much more comfortable and is recommended but you will need approximately 20cm more to accommodate it. When installed the bottom of the hammock should be at least 30cm above the ground.
In general the larger the size of the chair the more comfortable it will be so go for the largest that is within your budget and can be accommodated in the space you have available.
